Iran’s Armed Forces leaders mourn commander of Revolutionary Guards killed in Samarra
(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the funeral of one of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards killed in Samarra—during an advisory mission with the Iraqi Army—was held in Tehran in the presence of senior military leaders.
Official Iranian news agency ‘IRNA’ stated in news followed by IraqiNews.com, “This morning in Tehran, the funeral of the martyr Brigadier Hamid Taghvi, one of the holy shrines defenders killed in the city of Samarra, Iraq, was held,” indicating that, “The ceremony took place in the presence of many of Iran’s Armed Forces commanders and his comrades.”
According to the agency, Brigadier General Hamid Taghvi was killed during an advisory mission in the city of Samarra.
