Hundreds of ISIS fighters still occupy parts of Biji oil refinery, says Oil Minister
(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi revealed that hundreds of ISIS elements still occupy parts of Biji oil refinery in northern Salahuddin.
Abdul-Mahdi said in a statement issued in Washington and quoted by Reuters, “Hundreds of ISIS elements still occupy parts of Biji oil refinery, the largest oil refinery in the country.”
Abdul-Mahdi added, “The government still controls the main part of the refinery.”
