Italy to send 280 soldiers to train Kurdish fighters

Rome, Italy (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Italy will send 280 army personnel to Iraq to train Kurdish Peshmerga militia, Italy’s defense minister Roberta Pinotti said.

Roberta Pinotti stated today, “Italy will send 280 soldiers to work closely with Kurdish Peshmerga forces and train their fighters in their fight against the ISIS group in northern Iraq and Syria. We’ve requested that our military advisors to work in Kurdistan region in Iraq, but their locations haven’t yet been determined.”
