Gunmen blow up house of officer in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Unidentified gunmen on Saturday blew up the house of a police officer in Anbar province, according to a police source. “Unknown gunmen planted explosive devices and an amount of TNT explosives around the house of a cop in al-Aameriya district, southern Falluja,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The blast destroyed the house and wounded Captain Anwar al-Issawi,” the source indicated. “A security cordon has been thrown around the site and all roads leading to the scene of the blast have been blocked,” the source added. Falluja, the largest city in Anbar, lies 45 km west of Baghdad; while Anbar, he capital of the province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
