 Wasit Government: Iran should apologize for storming Zurbatiyah port by Iranians

(IraqiNews.com) Wasit – The governor of Wasit province Kalaf al-Wadi announced on Monday rejecting the disposal of Iranian visitors who stormed, yesterday, Zurbatiyah port and entered without visas, indicating that this act affects the national sovereignty, while demanded the Iranian government to apologize for what happened from the visitors.

Al-Wadi said in a press conference followed by IraqiNews.com, “The local government of Wasit refuses strongly what the Iranian visitors had done on Sunday,” noting that “The administration of the province put all efforts and capabilities in their service over the past few days and organized their entry, but we were surprised by unacceptable disposal.” pointing out that, “They stormed the Iraqi port and entered illegally.”

Al-Wadi asserted that “This affects the national sovereignty,” and urged the Iranian government to “make an apology for what happened.”
