Hilla blast wounded up to 16

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: The wounded from an earlier blast that occurred in al-Hilla city on Thursday rose to 16 as highly explosive material was found in the scene, a source from Babel police said. “The number of wounded from a blast that rocked al-Maktabat street, central Hilla, rose to 16, while the bomb squad found 250 kg of TNT, a cell phone and detonation wires in the site of the explosion,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The evidence shows that the blast, the result of a small explosive charge, had been planned to be stronger than what actually happened,” the source added. Earlier, a security source said fourteen people were wounded in an unidentified blast in central al-Hilla city on Thursday. Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
