115 detainees freed from justice ministry’s jails

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The jails department of the Iraqi justice ministry has freed 115 prisoners from its jails in Baghdad and other provinces, a media source said Friday. “The justice ministry freed 80 detainees from the Baghdad central jails compound and 11 from the port prison in Basra,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Two detainees was released from Thi-Qar, 6 from Muthanna, 10 detainees from Badoush prison in Ninewa, 4 from Diala and two from Missan,” he added. “The detainees were released after investigations showed that they were not involved in terrorist operations against security agencies and civilians,” he noted.
