Diyala police: Miqdadiya is under control, curfew lifted

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Tuesday, Commander of Diyala police Brigader-General Jassim al-Saaedi announced, that the security situation in Miqdadeya is under control, while pointed out that the curfew imposed on the city was lifted.
Saedi said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The security situation in Miqdadeya District (35 Km northeast of Baquba) is under the control of the security forces,” indicating that, “The police and military forces were deployed in all the district areas.”
“The curfew imposed in the district was lifed. A supreme investigation committee was formed to investigate the criminal events that took place in Miqdadeya yesterday,” he added.
