(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – al-Azeem District Council announced on Saturday the return of 558 displaced families to the center of the district and seven villages in the first patch in 2016.

Head of the council, Abdul-Jabbar al-Obeidi, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “558 displaced families began returning to the center of the district of al-Azeem and seven villages during the patch in 206,” noting that, “This comes in coordination with Dijla Operations and Diyali Directorate.”

Obeidi added, “The return of the displaced families is great news to end the humanitarian suffering that has created the events of post-June 2014.”
