Iraq, Syria, Turkey to have water meeting

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq, Syria and turkey have agreed to meet in Ankara on Sept. 3, 2009, to discuss mutual water situation especially at the Euphrates River, the Iraqi Water Resources Ministry said Monday. “The Iraqi water resources minister met the Syrian irrigation minister and the Turkish energy minister in Damascus,” said a release issued by the Iraqi Ministry and received by Iraqi News. “The three sides agreed to hold a meeting on Sept. 3, 2009 to discuss mutual water relations,” it said.
