(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – The clan of Jabour in Diyali province organized on Wednesday a military parade on the occasion of the first anniversary of the victory over the ISIS militants and the liberation of its territory from them.

Member of Diyali Provincial Council, Karim Abdullah al-Jubouri, said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The Jabour tribe in Sherwin (45 km east of Baqubah) organized a military parade on the occasion of the first anniversary of the victory over ISIS and the liberation of their areas from the [ISIS] control after fierce battles that had been fought alongside the joint security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi [militia].”

Jubouri added, “The parade signifies the ability of the clans of the liberated areas in playing a central and an effective role in the security situation and confirms its rejection of the ideology of ISIS which is the enemy of all Iraqis from all sects and ethnic groups.”
