Italian firms to rehabilitate al-Faw Port

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi minister of transportation, Aamer Abduljabbar, and other Iraqi officials have met with representatives of Italian companies to discuss the rehabilitation of al-Faw Big Port in Basra province. “The talks focused on the designs prepared for the project,” according to a ministry statement received by Iraqi News. Among the conditions set by the ministry are that Iraqi companies should take part in the project. Iraqi engineers shall be sent to join special courses in Italy, according to the statement.
