42,000 tons of dates distributed in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The Karbala agriculture department completed on Tuesday selling a total of more than 42,000 tons of dates it received from farmers in the past two months , media director of the agriculture department said. “The department completed distributing and selling the dates on three categories after receiving them from farmers two months ago,” Baher Ali told Iraqi News. “We had received 42,424 tons of dates and we distributed them at the headquarters of the manufacturing and marketing dates company in the city,” he added. “The department distributed 2,722 tons of the dates on displaced families, in addition to distributing 18,368 tons of dates on fodders,” he noted.
