New financial amounts allocated for Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government has allocated new financial amounts for Basra to make up for the 2009 budget deficit, a member of the Basra council said on Wednesday. “The central government has allocated new financial amounts to Basra, including ID208 billion as a complementary budget and $20 million to lay a pipe for drinking water from central Basra to Sihan and then to Fao, southern Basra,” Mustapha Attiya told Iraqi News. “The province awaits also another $25 million for projects to develop marshes,” he added.
