Officer killed, 2 soldiers injured while dismantling IED east of Baqubah

(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – A local source in Diyali said on Thursday, that an officer was killed and two soldiers were wounded in a bomb blast that took place east of Baqubah.
The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “A lieutenant was killed and two soldiers were injured while attempting to dismantle an [improvised] explosive device (IED) in Hamrin Hills near the vicinity of al-mansouriya (45 km east of Baqubah),” pointing out that, “The device was from the remnants of the ISIS control of the area over a year ago.”
