Russian President orders withdrawal of main part of forces in Syria

(IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued an order to his army to withdraw the main part of the Russian military power in Syria, while considered that Russia’s intervention in Syria has achieved its objectives to a large extent.
During a meeting with the Russian ministers of defense and foreign affairs at the Kremlin, Putin was quoted as saying: “The withdrawal will begin from tomorrow, Tuesday.”
The Russian President also ordered the intensification of Russia’s role in the peace process aimed at ending the current conflict in Syria.
