Babel 2009 budget disappointing – governor

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: The 2009 budget for Babel is disappointing, the province’s governor said on Thursday. “The 2009 budget is ID158 billion, while the previous local authority made commitments to projects of more than ID400 billion,” Salman Nassir Taha told Iraqi News. He said that the problem pushed “a new schedule of projects” to the scene. “We re-evaluated projects’ performance, and categorized them into very good, normal, and tripping,” Taha said. He explained that according to the new categories, funding will be transferred from one project to another. Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km southwest of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
