CBI dollar sales make fresh leap to hit $732m this week

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales increased this week to reach $732.762 million compared to last week’s $662.505 million as demand on the dollar went up prior to the Eidul-Fitr holiday that would witness no dollar auctions. “This week’s demand hit $26.500 million in cash, covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars per dollar, compared to last week’s $17.500 million, while foreign transfers outside the country hit $706.262 million, covered at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar, against $645.005 million last week,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by Iraqi News.
