Abadi: We’ll lay off 100 General Managers within 2 weeks

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Thursday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi revealed his intention to nominate the Heads of independent directorates and restructure the positions of some General Managers within two weeks or a month, while emphasized that the restructure will include laying off 100 General Managers.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said in a speech followed by IraqiNews.com, “We will nominate the Heads of independent directorates within two weeks or a month, as well as eliminating the appointment by proxy.”
Abadi added, “The specified period will include restructuring the positions of some General Managers,” pointing out that, “The restructure will also include laying off 100 General Managers.”
Earlier today, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in the House of Representatives to present the new cabinet reshuffle, while held a private meeting with the House of Representatives Speaker Salem al-Jubouri.
