 4,000 displaced families flee Heet heading to Wafaa Camp west of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Governor of Anbar Mustafa al-Arsan said on Wednesday, that more than 4,000 displaced families have fled from the city of Heet in a mass exodus heading to al-Wafaa Camp west of Ramadi, while appealed to the international organizations and the Department of Immigration to provide blankets and other supplies for those families.

Arsan said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The number of displaced families heading from the city of Heet to a camp in the vicinity of al-Wafaa (35 km west of Ramadi), reached so far about 4,000 families, mostly women and children,” noting that “There is a shortage of blankets and other materials because the camp can not include all those [families].”

He also added, “There is abundance of wate, but there is a lack of blankets and food and we are working hard to provide them.” appealing to “The international organizations and the Ministry of Displacement and Migration to provide blankets and other supplies to the camp for the fulfillment of the large number of [displaced] families.”
