Jubouri arrives in Parliament building and apologizes for moderating today’s session
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday the President of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri arrived in the parliament building under heavy protection, while apologized for moderating the parliament session scheduled for today.
The information office of the ousted President of the Parliament, Saleem al-Jubouri, said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri and his two deputies Hamam Hamoudi and Aram Sheikh Mohammed are apologizing for moderating today’s session,” noting that, “The Council has the right to choose the session’s moderator based on Article no.11 of the rules and procedure of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.”
The statement added, “Jubouri will attend the meeting and answer any questions about the crisis,” pointing out that, “Jubouri has no red lines on what will be discussed during the meeting.”
Jubouri has emphasized the importance of continuing the reform efforts under the dome of one parliament that includes representatives of the Iraqi people.
