 55 people killed, wounded in Sadr City bombing, says Baghdad Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Baghdad Operations Command announced, that 55 people had been either killed or wounded in a car bomb attack in al-Sadr City in eastern Baghdad.

Baghdad Operations Command spokesman Brigadier General Saad Moen said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a car bomb exploded in Oraiba market in al-Sadr City in eastern Baghdad, killing 27 people and injuring 28 others.”

Earlier today, a source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior revealed, that 48 people were either killed or wounded in al-Sadr City car bomb explosion.
