URGENT / 8 wounded in blasts in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Eight people were wounded when two explosive charges ripped through an outdoor souk (market) in the area of Oun, northern Karbala, on Thursday, security sources and medics said. “The initial count of casualties from two improvised explosive device (IED) attacks inside a souk in Oun, (20 km) northern Karbala, is eight wounded,” a medic told Iraqi News. Meanwhile, a local security source said the police searched the explosion scene and found four unexploded IEDs. The holy Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
