ISIS shells Khalediya City, wounds 5 civilians, says Head of District Council
(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The President of Khalediya District Council in Anbar Province, Ali Dawood, said on Monday, that at least five civilian were wounded in a shelling by mortar rounds on the city of Khalediya east of Ramadi.
Dawood said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today, ISIS bombed the city of Khalediya, (23 km east of Ramadi), by several mortar shells that landed in different parts of the city,” adding that, “The bombing resulted in the injury of at least five civilians in addition to material damage to the property of citizens.”
Dawood added,, “The ISIS bombarded the city from the neighboring town of Khalidiya Island,” pointing out that, “The bombardment is continuing until this moment.”
