Drug traffickers arrested in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Sunday arrested a number of drug traffickers in Karbala province, according to an Interior Ministry statement. “The gang was arrested in light of intelligence tips in al-Askari neighborhood,” read the statement that was received by Iraqi News. “An amount of drugs was found in their possession,” the statement noted. The statement did not reveal the number of those arrested. The holy Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
