Committee to compensate victims of Wednesday’s blasts

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Baghdad’s provincial council has formed a committee to compensate victims of Wednesday’s (August 19) blasts, Baghdad’s Governor Salah Abdulrazaq said Monday. “This came during a visit by the governor to al-Salihiya residential compound, which was targeted by the blasts,” said a release issued by the council and received by Iraqi News. “The governor also ordered to improve the quality of the compound’s water, electricity and natural gas supplies,” it said. The latest toll of casualties caused by Wednesday’s blasts is 82 people killed and 1,203 wounded, according to the Baghdad operations Command (BOC). MH (P) / SS 1
