Al-Maliki inspects Foreign Ministry’s building

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Monday inspected the Foreign Ministry’s building and the nearby residential regions to know about the damage they suffered the last Wednesday’s suicide bombing, according to a cabinet’s statement. “The premier met during his round with al-Salihiya residents and listened to their problems and their needs and the casualties and material damage and promised to help them to ease their suffer,” said the statement received by Iraqi News. “Foreign and national security ministers as well as Baghdad ’ governor accompanied al-Maliki during his round,” it said. Eighty-two persons were killed and 1,203 were wounded in six explosions that ripped through Baghdad on Wednesday (Aug. 19). SH (P)/SR 1
