Hundreds demonstrate in Tahrir Square against Abadi’s reforms
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, hundreds of people demonstrated in al-Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, while described the reforms of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi as “false reforms.”
One of the demonstrators said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, hundreds of people demonstrated in al-Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, calling for real reforms,” pointing out that, “The demonstrators are seeing the reforms that were made by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi as false reforms.”
The demonstrator added, “Baghdad Operations Command has cut off all roads and bridges that lead to al-Tahrir Square in order to foil the demonstrations.”
