Cabinet approves amending partnership draft agreement between Iraq, Turkey

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Ali al-Dabbagh, said on Wednesday that the Council of Ministers decided to approve the recommendations of amending the comprehensive partnership draft agreement between Iraq and Turkey committee regarding water. “The cabinet decided to approve the committee’s recommendations regarding the common water and to entrust trade minister to present the proposed text to the Turkish side,” al-Dabbagh said in a statement received by Iraqi News. “The premier had ordered in the 29th session on August 4 to form a committee to discuss the Iraqi-Turkish partnership draft agreement’s articles signed between Iraqi trade minister and his Turkish counterpart on July 23, 2009,” he added.
