Al-Hakim’s funeral begins in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The official farewell ceremony of Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Abdulaziz al-Hakim began in Baghdad on Friday morning starting from Baghdad international airport to Bratha mosque. The plane carrying his body had arrived earlier at the airport. The body will be carried after the Friday prayer to Karbala and then to Najaf, where he will be buried. President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, ministers and a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors received the body at the airport. SH (P) 1
