Kurdish Parliament to resume sessions- MP

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A parliamentarian from the Kurdistan Alliance (KA) on Saturday said that the parliament of the Kurdistan region is likely to resume sessions by the middle of this week, adding that a new prime minister and a deputy will be selected by the end of this week. “The parliament’s recess ends in early September and I expect the council to resume its regular session by the middle of this week,” Shirwan al-Haydari told Iraqi News. Parliamentary committees will be set up before the election of a new premier and a deputy, Haydari noted. A spokesperson for the Kurdish president, Fouad Hussein, said that Massoud Barazani will assign the new prime minister and his deputy to form the new government. SS (P) 1
