US to send 200 advisors and soldiers to rehabilitate Qayyarah airbase

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A spokesman of the Prime Minister’s office, Saad al-Hadithy, said that Washington intends to send 200 advisors and soldiers to rehabilitate Qayyarah Airbase.
Hadithy said, “Iraq will use both international and regional aid in the war against ISIS. International aid will not conflict with Iraq’s national sovereignty and this aid will help accelerate liberation operations.”
“The Iraqi government has coordinated with Washington to request 200 US advisers and experts for participating in the rehabilitation of Qayyarah. These troops will provide consultancy and logistical support for Iraqi forces who are advancing toward Mosul.”
