Military operations launched to secure areas between Diyala and Salahuddin

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – Diyala Police Command informed that military operations have been launched to secure areas located within the borders of Diyala and Salahuddin.
Diyala Police Chief Major General Jassim al-Saadi, said, “Joint security forces from Diyala police, Tigris Operations, army’s 5th brigade and al-Hashd al-Shaabi today conducted an extensive proactive operation towards the eastern side of Hawi al-Azim.”
Saadi added, “The security forces dismantled an explosive belt and diffused 20 IEDs. The security forces are continuing to search and clean all the areas covered in the military operation.”
