Al-Maliki pays surprise visit to Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki paid a surprise visit to the city of Nassiriya on Monday, an official source said. “Al-Maliki, accompanied by health and national security ministers, arrived in Nassiriya on Monday (Sept. 14) for a visit that would last several hours,” Abdulhussein al-Zaydi, media official of the Thi-Qar province, told Iraqi News. “The premier will meet with Thi-Qar’s governor before attending a breakfast banquet in the city,” he added.
