Parliament’s speaker to visit Iran Sunday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament’s Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie will travel to Tehran on Sunday, said Iranian ambassador in Baghdad on Monday. “Al-Samarraie will pay a visit to Iran upon on official invitation from his counterpart Ali Larijani,” Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) quoted Hassan Kazemi Qomi as saying. “A delegation of Iraqi legislators will be along with him during the two-day trip that is within the framework of bilateral cooperation and exchange of parliamentary experiences,” he said. “Considering that the Iraqi Parliament is the main element in formation of the government in Iraq, Iran’s sharing experiences with Iraqi parliamentarians is a positive approach,” he added.
