Basra council boycotts Agriculture Ministry

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The Basra council decided on Tuesday to suspend activities with the Agriculture Ministry and its departments in the province because of marginalizing the council’s role in these departments. “The council condemns what the general authority of palm trees, which belongs to the Agriculture Ministry, has done of marginalizing the role of the council, which used ti support this vital sector,” the head of the agriculture department of the council, Ali al-Sawadi, told Iraqi News. “The boycott will continue for one month as of October 1,” he added.
