Iraq’s junior footballers play 2nd game in Amman
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi junior football team will play its second and last friendly game as part of a training program in the Jordanian capital Amman on Saturday within preparations for the competitions qualifying to the Asia Cup of Nations, to be hosted in Yemen early next month, the team’s coach said. “The Iraqis will play the Jordanian team on Petra pitch as part of preparations for the Asia Cup of Nations qualifiers, scheduled in Yemen on October 8-18,” Muwaffaq Hussein told Iraqi News. “Also playing in these qualifiers will be Palestine , Syria , Qatar , Yemen and Greece ,” he added. Hussein added that the team’s first match with Jordan on Thursday (Sept. 17) ended in a 2/2 tie. AmR (P)/SR 1
