30-kg C4 IED dismantled in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device weighing 30 kg found planted on the roadside in the district of al-Shatra on the Nassiriya-Baghdad highway was defused by the Thi-Qar police department personnel, according to a department release on Sunday. “The IED, composed of C4 explosives, was linked to a 200-meters-long detonation wire off al-Mualimeen neighborhood, al-Shatra, (45 km) northern al-Nasseriya,” read the release as received by Iraqi News.
