2 policemen wounded in IED blast in Jalawlaa

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off in Jalawlaa district on Wednesday, according to a local security source. “An IED planted by unidentified persons in the area of Tabaj, Jalawlaa, (30 km) southwest of Khanaqin, went off just as a police patrol was driving by, leaving two policemen wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Khanaqin, one of the areas subject to dispute between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG), is 155 km southeast of Baaquba. “The injured security men were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source said, not giving further details.
