3 civilians injured in bomb explosion in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Three civilians were wounded in a bomb explosion in south of Khanaqin, while two suspected gunmen were arrested in a separate incident in southwest of the city, said a security source Friday. “An improvised explosive device went off on Friday (Nov. 13) near a civilian vehicle in Imam Weis region, south of Khanaqin, injuring three civilians,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he added. Meanwhile, another security source said that army forces arrested two brothers, suspected of having links with armed groups in Baniera village in Jalawlaa, southwest of Khanaqin. He did not give further details. Khanaqin, one of the disputed areas between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG), is 155 km northeast of Baaquba. SH (P) 1
