New dam in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Water Resources Ministry has agreed to start executing a water dam project in Kirkuk, the province’s governor said on Wednesday. “The dam’s design capacity is 38.85 cubic meters,” Abdulrahman Mustafa told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the dam will be established by an Iraqi-Turkish company, and will cost around $27 million. The oil-rich city of Kirkuk lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SH 1
