Russia says ready to contribute to Iraq’s reconstruction

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov on Wednesday expressed his country’s willingness to help with the reconstruction process in Iraq. “Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received in his Baghdad-based office Saltanov, who expressed the readiness of Russian institutions and companies to continue work in the reconstruction process in Iraq,” according to a statement published today on the official web site of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry. “My visit aims to develop bilateral relations and to follow up on what has been discussed during Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s visit to Moscow in April last and during the Russian energy minister’s visit to Baghdad last month,” the Russian official was quoted as saying.
