Electricity minister opens 10th unit of al-Quds station

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Electricity Minister Karim Waheed opened on Friday the 10th unit of al-Quds (Jerusalem) gas driven power station in northeastern Baghdad, according to the ministry’s spokesman. “The unit has been suspended for 14 months due to a technical failure,” Hashem Sultan told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that the unit will provide 100 megawatt which will be added to the national power network. “A Russian company undertook the rehabilitation process in cooperation with Iraqi cadres,” he added.
