Talks with Australian firm to build oil refinery

MUTHANNA / IraqiNews.com: The Muthanna Investment Commission is having “serious negotiations” with an Australian company to build an oil refinery with a capacity of 200,000 barrels per day (bpd), the commission director revealed. “The commission had a round of serious negotiations with Australia’s CityView Corporation Limited to build a refinery. The costs of the project will not be set pending the completion of all procedures and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the company and the commission,” Adel Dakhil al-Yasseri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “CityView, one of the leading global companies in the area of developing and investing oilfields, gas and construction of power plants, boasts several investments in various areas of Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East,” Yasseri added.
