Security forces shoot down IS drone in eastern Mosul
A drone used by the Islamic State to drop explosives on civilians.
Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday shooting down a drone belonging to the Islamic State group, before attacking civilians in eastern Mosul.
Spokesman for the Ministry, Brigadier General Saad Maan, said in a press statement, “Forces from the police’s emergency brigade managed, today, to bring down a drone belonging to the Islamic State group, before passing the defense line in al-Ghabat area to attack civilians in eastern Mosul”
Noteworthy, Islamic State group started to use drones to drop bombs and explosives on the liberated areas of the city of Mosul.
