Al-Hashd al-Shaabi repulse IS attack southeast of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Salahuddin Province informed that al-Hashd al-Shaabi forces managed to repulse an attack launched by the Islamic State group, southeast of Tikrit, Alsumaria News reported on Tuesday.
The source said, “Al-Hashd al-Shaabi’s 9th brigade repelled an attack launched by the Islamic State on Albu Khado village, southeast of Tikrit District.”
“The security forces also burned two vehicles belonging to the terrorist group and killed their drivers, as well as arresting another IS member,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
Earlier today, eight members of al-Hashd al-Shaabi were killed by improvised explosive devices explosion in al-Alam area, east of Tikrit.
