IS shells liberated areas in eastern Mosul with chlorine gas
Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Rapid Response Forces’ Captain, Saadon Khaled al-Ramadani, stated on Thursday, that the Islamic State group launched attacks on the liberated areas in eastern Mosul, using rockets containing chlorine gas.
Ramadani said in a press statement, “The Islamic State group launched an attack, yesterday, usinf Katyusha rockets from the banks of the Tigris River in western Mosul, on al-Maliyah area and a garage in eastern Mosul.”
“After examining the remnants, it was revealed that the rockets were containing chlorine gas,” Ramadani added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bahnam Aziz pointed out that a number the residents of the garage, Nabi Yunus and al-Faisaliyah areas were transferred to medical centers and hospitals after suffering severe poisoning by chlorine gas.
