29,000 donums for wheat, barley agriculture in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Farmers in Karbala have begun the agriculture of wheat and barley on 29,000 donums for the current winter season, director of the Karbala agriculture department said on Friday. “The production of wheat and barley is expected to increase by 30% compared to the last year’s production,” Baher Ghali told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The average of production of the donum of wheat will vary between 700kg and 1200kg while the production of the donum of barley will be between 600kg and 800kg,” he said.
