Car bomb kills 3, wounds 5 north of Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: At least three civilians were killed and five others were wounded in the car bomb explosion that ripped through north of Karbala on Monday, a police source said. “The car bomb that went off on Monday (Oct. 26) near a checkpoint in north of Karbala, killed three civilians and injured five,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The car was exploded remotely or by one of its passengers when the checkpoint’s elements stopped it,” he added. An eye-witness had said earlier that a car bomb exploded in north of Karbala, leaving unspecified number of casualties. Karbala is 110 km southwest of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
