Wanted man, son arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A combined force captured a wanted man and his son southwest of Kirkuk in a security operation, according to a source from the city’s Joint Coordination Center on Sunday. “Personnel from the Multi-National Force (MNF) and Iraqi army, acting on information from the al-Huweija police operations command, conducted a dropping operation Saturday night on the house of a wanted man in the area of al-Jubur 1, al-Abbasi district, (80 km) southwest of Kirkuk,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The man was arrested along with his son inside the house,” the source added, not giving further details. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Kurdish, Arab and Turkmen population, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
